BRIGHTON PANORAMA 3

We are now looking almost due west over the Brighton and Preston cemetery, Lewes road, Preston barracks and the vast Hollingdean Allotments, now covered by council houses built in the early 1950s. Note the newly built Gaiety Cinema and the Refuse Destructor chimney. Beyond the chimney the new road being developed is Redhill Drive and to the right is Patcham windmill. On the skyline the trees at Devil’s Dyke.
