HANGLETON AREA

View of Hangleton Church and farm buildings, looking south-west, 14 April 1953. The newly cut road in the foreground is Hangleton Way. During the previous summer and autumn, excavations on this site revealed the foundations of several houses of the mediaeval village of Hangleton, but at the time of the photograph these had been covered with loose earth.
