At the time I had this photograph taken, on 13 March 1974, it was rumoured that the derelict Odeon Cinema (left) and the empty Sports Stadium site (a Car Park) would be used for the erection of a new large hotel. Now as I write nearly ten years later, nothing happened at the scene is exactly the same.
