What had once been the busy railway goods Yard and Depot, photographed on 29 May 1983. At one time a stream of horses and carts, later lorries, filled with merchandise would enter or leave the wide gateway. Sadly those days have gone. In more recent times national carriers used the premises. All buildings within the yard demolished in 1983.
