BRIGHTON CORPORATION WATERWORKS, FALMER

These three following photographs, of the 1960s, show the pumping station whilst it was still in use. The commemorative plaque, which says: Brighton Corporation Waterworks, Falmer Pumping Station.These works were opened by his Worship the Mayor of Brighton and the Engines were named and started by the Mayoress of Brighton, on the 14 day of December 1905. Members of Committee were Alderman J. Colburne JP Mayor, Alderman E. Lowther Chairman, Alderman H. Abbey, Alderman E. Stafford JP, Councillor H. German and many other Committee members.
